this is for Leelou

The project "this is for Leelou" is an experimental visualisation of a song of the same name by Alexander Graf, created in 2012. The song is about his then unborn daughter and is partly built from the heartbeats of the unborn child. The track is very touching, sensitive and something very personal.

The visualisation, consisting of particle systems generated by the music, expresses the story and the emotions involved. The track is divided into three parts, which is also be reflected in the visual translation. The animation itself was created in Adobe After Effects and is somewhere between motion graphics and generative design.
