David Fisslthaler is a creative working at the intersection of art, design, research and technology and is deeply fascinated by these topics and their impact on society.
In addition to his personal projects, David works for national and international projects in the field of project management and -development, visual design and media production – mostly for clients in consulting, technology, culture and advertising. Since 2024 he works with London Strategy, a specialised management and IT consultancy focussed on Europe and the Middle East.
Previously, he worked as Head of Digital for the Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, and before that he was a Research Fellow and PhD candidate at the Center of Human-Computer Interaction in Salzburg. The first decade of his career was spent in visual design and advertising, working for clients such as APA Picturedesk, Red Bull, Sony, Trumer and more.
Both his personal and commercial work has resulted in numerous awards, exhibitions and screenings, as well as invitations to festivals, conferences and think tanks such as the European Forum Alpach, Salzburg Global and Schmiede Hallein. Some of his personal works can be found in private and public art collections.
He studied MultimediaArt (Film and Management) at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, Photography at the University of Arts Linz and Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Salzburg. He is a certified project manager, a member of Nikon Professional Services and spent several years as a volunteer paramedic.
