David Fisslthaler is a creative working at the intersection of art, design, research and technology and is deeply fascinated by these topics and their impact on society.
In addition to his personal projects, David started working for MovieShots in 2022, a startup in the field of blockchain and film. Previously, he worked as Head of Digital for the Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery, and before that he was a Research Fellow and PhD candidate at the Center of Human-Computer Interaction in Salzburg. The first decade of his career was spent in visual design and advertising, working for clients such as APA Picturedesk, Red Bull, Sony, Trumer and many more.
Both his personal and commercial work has resulted in numerous awards, exhibitions and screenings, as well as invitations to festivals, conferences and think tanks such as the European Forum Alpach, the Salzburg Global Seminar, Schmiede Hallein and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Some of his personal works can be found in private and public art collections.
He studied MultimediaArt (Film and Management) at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, Photography at the University of Arts Linz and Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Salzburg. He is also a certified project manager, a member of Nikon Professional Services and spent several years as a volunteer paramedic.
